Abbott Clearview FOB
Fecal Occult Blood
Detects low levels of human hemoglobin in feces in just 5 minutes
BENEFITS:
- Results in 5 minutes for minimal wait time
- Accessible in remote and decentralized settings
- Simple, non-invasive procedure post fecal sample preparation means minimal training required
- High performance with very low limit of detection (sensitive to 50 ng/mL or 6 μg/g feces)
- Built-in procedural control provides confirmation that the test was performed correctly
- Extracted sample is stable for 3 days at room temperature (15°C–30°C) if not tested within one hour after preparation
The Clearview™ One Step Fecal Occult Blood Test Device (Feces) is a rapid test to qualitatively detect low levels of FOB. The test uses a double antibody sandwich assay to selectively detect FOB at 50 ng/ml or higher, or 6 µg/g feces, and unlike guaiac assays, the accuracy of the test is not affected by the diet of the patient.
